Proportionate and Adaptive Governance of Innovative Technologies, Phases 1 and 2

Government financial support for the innovative technologies on which the future prosperity of the UK depends will only be effective if we also develop more adaptive and proportionate regulatory systems than those in place today. The project builds on research conducted by the Innogen Institute showing how standards can contribute to the governance of innovative technologies and incentivise innovation while still delivering safety, quality and efficacy. The result will be a tested mature framework that government and regulators can use to determine the best means of supporting the sustainable development of innovative technologies.
