An infrastructure for platform technology in synthetic biology (Flowers consortium project)
July 1 2012 – June 30 2017
This project brings together a consortium of five UK universities (Imperial College, Cambridge, Edinburgh, LSE/KCL and Newcastle) to develop an integrated platform technology and an infrastructure for synthetic biology. The consortium will provide intellectual leadership, critical mass and synergy to address a range of synthetic biology research and its translation to industry. The Flowers Consortium is ongoing, and Innogen’s role will be to work on the social dimensions of the project, including analysis of standardisation, infrastructure, translation and responsible innovation.
