Biofuels: can they really save the planet?
It is promoted as a green solution to our energy crisis, but can bioenergy live up to its promises? Find out more at tonight's Edinburgh International Science Festival event, 'A Green Future in Bioenergy?', National Museum of Scotland from 8pm-9pm.
At this event Professor Christine Raines (University of Essex) and Dr Jeremy Woods (Imperial College London) will discuss the options and challenges of bioenergy in a debate chaired by Professor David Ingram (University of Edinburgh). You will have a chance to find out more about some of the pros and cons of bioenergy development and put your questions to the experts.
Both panellists were recently interviewed by Rebecca McQuillan for her article 'Biofuels: can they really save the planet?' published in the Sunday Herald on 29.03.08.
This event has been organised by the ESRC Genomics Forum and the ESRC Innogen Centre. For further information please contact Emma Frow.
