Chataway Named President of EuroLics
In September 2014, 27 scholars met in Copenhagen to establish a European chapter of Globelics.
Joanna Chataway will serve as president of the newly formed EuroLics, which seeks to bring together researchers who link innovation and competence building to inclusive and sustainable development.
The objective of EuroLics is to build research capacity and contribute to knowledge infrastructure in regions where interdisciplinary capabilities necessary for innovation related research are scarce. The network will organise research training, workshops and serve as a basis for research project application and work in close interaction with other regional chapters of Globelics, with a core priority being to give young scholars from the least developed regions within Europe easier access to global research resources.
