Translating laboratory research into cell therapies raises many complex questions and challenges for both science and society. Having spent the last four years studying regulation and innovation in the development of clinical stem cell therapies, Emma King recently discussed her research on the BloodPharma Project with EuroStemCell, and reflected on the making of red blood cells from pluripotent stem cells and what it might mean for the development of future therapies.
