SFC fund research into industrially-generated blood

Innogen is one of four Universities working with the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service to generate red blood cells on a large scale.


Funding by the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) will support Innogen to work on this five year ground-breaking project to manufacture red blood cells for transfusions. Innogen will contribute research on the risks of using blood and blood products in conventional and alternative ways.
