On a roll, without a roll

Collaboration between social and natural sciences has been key to exploiting the UK's strength in science, technology and innovation, say Catherine Lyall, Joyce Tait, Robin Williams and Dave Wield. But with policymakers high on ambition yet strangely coy on setting agendas that bring researchers from different disciplines together, they ask whether there are now signs of interdisciplinary fatigue after a decade of exhortation.
