UK DonorLink Register Two Years on - Using DNA to link adults genetically related through donor conception
March 5 2007
Venue: Seminar Rm 1.06, Old Surgeons' Hall, High School Yards
Organised by: Innogen
UK DonorLink is a UK government funded pilot voluntary register launched in April 2004 to enable UK citizens directly affected by donor conception to exchange information or make direct contact with anyone to whom they are genetically related. It is run by After Adoption Yorkshire, a post adoption service, and employs DNA testing. This seminar will present information from the work of the Register and put flesh onto the nature and meaning of relationships formed in the test-tube and sought out through the complexities of DNA testing from a practitioner perspective.
