Public agencies are expected to share clients' personal information with each other in order to manage risks and to provide more 'joined-up' services. Reconciling this with imperatives for confidentiality and securing public trust taxes professionals' judgment: either way, they run the risk of blame. This presentation will explore public attitudes to data sharing and the diversity of public-service practice.
