Unhealthy eating? How to study the relationship between diet and health

The aim of this workshop is to bring together approximately 30 early-career researchers who work on the relationship between diet,
nutrition and health in order to build an interdisciplinary network and develop new research collaborations.

It will consist of two sessions:



  1. Short presentations from researchers representing a variety of disciplines across the University of Edinburgh

  2. Research speed-dating session, which will enable participants to identify potential collaborators and future research topics


Speakers will include:



  • Dr Michele Belot (School of Economics)

  • Dr Sarah Hill (Global Public Health Unit)

  • Dr Julia Lawton (Centre for Population Health Sciences)

  • Dr Valeria Skafida (Centre for Research into Families and Relationships)


There is no charge for the event, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
