Leadership Training for Interdisciplinary Environmental Initiatives
January 18 – January 19 2011
Following on the success of a series of Interdisciplinary Masterclasses, the University of Edinburgh is offering a workshop on Leadership Training for Interdisciplinary Environmental Initiatives on 18-19 January 2011, in Edinburgh.
This masterclass will offer practical guidance regarding ways in which PIs and research leaders can make the most of interdisciplinary initiatives. It will provide a framework for understanding the often subtle processes that occur within interdisciplinary research.
The masterclass will draw upon: findings of the NERC-funded project 'Capturing Lessons for Interdisciplinarity', background expertise of the project team and input from/interaction with expert advisors including Prof Joyce Tait (Innogen), Prof Philip Lowe (Relu), Prof Jacquie Burgess (UEA), Prof Roger Pielke Jr (University of Colorado-Boulder).
The workshop will include a mix of panel discussions, talks and interactive sessions to ensure lively exploration of key issues.
